I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I didn’t get to do any of the exhibits from Friday’s post, but that’s OK. This weekend was family time and researching new topics for the blog, especially those coming from Portugal (watch this space). And what better way of getting there than by vintage plane…
I also received this vintage Cornell University pennant that I ordered for my son’s room from French by Design on Etsy. Not only does it bring back great memories, it looks really cool hanging on my son’s wall. Si from French by Design also has a great blog you should check out. And last but not least my WATG yarn was calling me to transform it into a Castaway scarf! Maybe next week.
Here are some international and local events coming up this week that I’d like the time (and energy) to see:
Playtime Paris edition runs from 26th to 28th January 2013. This is one of the largest trade fairs for chidren’s products in Europe. This year a free exhibition open to the general public will take place parallel to the trade fair called Play with Design .
The 2nd edition of ArtGenève will take place from 31 January to 3 February 2013 at Palexpo. This art salon exhibits new modern and contemporary art with an aim of establishing an artistic platform in French-speaking Switzerland. Major local galleries and dealers will be present.
And last but not least, Brocante de la Gruyère running from 25th to 27th January, in Bulle. This year 220 exhibitors will be present in a space of 8,000 sq. meters. I am sure that some lovely antique and vintage finds are to be had here!
Have a great weekend!
Recently I came across The Fresh Stitch and was so taken by Corinne’s little girl skirts that I ordered the blue and white chevron and the holiday damask skirts for my little Valentina. Vale looked so cute in them at Christmas time that I had to spread the word. I am now eyeing the coral gingham dress for this summer. Corinne also has very cute crayon rolls (a nice gift for kids) and boys styles as well.
Have a great day and tomorrow is Friday!
